DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Fourteen Central Illinois House seats were up election Tuesday night, but ten of the districts had uncontested elections.
Regan Deering (R-Decatur) will become the next state representative for the 88th district after Rep. Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) retires.
Rep. Carol Ammons (D-Urbana) will continue to represent the 103rd House district.
Rep. Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville), Rep. Chris Miller (R-Hindsboro), Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Jacksonville) and Rep. Adam Niemerg (R-Teutopolis) will remain in their seats.
Rep. Jason Bunting (R-Dwight), Rep. Wayne Rosenthal (R-Morrisonville) and Rep. Blaine Wilhour (R-Effingham) won re-election without opposition as well.
Kyle Moore (R-Quincy) will take over the 99th House district after Rep. Randy Frese (R-Quincy) retires.
